My grandmother "Louise Moore Ragan" gave me this recipe to put in a family newsletter that I was working on a few years ago. She didn't create it, (we aren't sure where it came from) but she made it her own. A few short years later Nana passed through the veil after a long illness. I came across her original note one day while cleaning out my file cabinet. My wife, Ellen, and I had copies made and framed for many of our family members. They were delivered last Christmas, and were really appreciated by the family. This was just a small tribute to her, but it meant a lot to us. Remember, it's often the small things that really count. Is there something like this that you can do for one of your family members? She said: "Everybody should have this recipe."
Take love and loyalty, mix it thoroughly with faith. Blend it with tenderness, kindness and understanding. Add friendship and hope. Sprinkle abundantly with laughter. Bake it in sunshine. Serve daily with generous helpings. Serves one entire home forever. Love, Nana
